Banned Advert - South Africa, Soweto

BEEP (Black Energy Efficient Page)

Awesome advert by SABC 1 in South Africa where whites have reversed roles with blacks to produce an interesting concept. Set in Soweto South Africa.

Mzansi literally means south
so because of that South Africa is referred to as Mzansi!

Zuma: South Africa, What Now?

BEEP (Black Energy Efficient Page)

Jacob Zuma is new ANC president. He takes over from Thabo Mbeki. Jacob Zuma will most likely face charges of corruption. This might put the ANC in an embarrassing position of having a president that can't focus on the ANC but on a trial. How was it that they elected him?

Over 500 comments about this video posted on YouTube.

Playing the Zuma Game

Zuma is a fast-paced puzzle game developed by PopCap Games. It can be played for free online at several Web sites, and can be purchased for a number of platforms, including PDAs, mobile phones, and the iPod.[1] An enhanced version, called Zuma Deluxe, is available for purchase in Windows and Mac OS X versions and as an Xbox Live Arcade download for the Xbox 360.[2]

Zuma received the 2004 "Game of the Year" award from RealArcade. We'll review this post again as it might change or get awarded a repentance, oops sentence.

BEEP – Energy Efficient Blog (powered by Blogger.com a Google product, more about them later)

The principle behind the South African born BEEP Blogger (Black Energy Efficient Pages) is based on the fact that the display of different colours consumes different amounts of energy on computer based monitors. The creators of BEEP cite a 2002 study from Roberson, who tested a variety of CRT and LCD monitors and found that an all black screen consumed less energy than an all white screen.

The idea behind the BEEP comes from a blog and a search engine beegle.co.za which estimated that a black Google would save 750 megawatt-hours a year. We feel every saving helps! We need to find alternative ways to keep the beer cold.
In addition to the Beegle Search Engine, Beegle founders have included a direct link to the Eskom’s Load Shedding Schedule – for daily viewing/outage planning. We have also added an alternative Load Shedding feed to BEEP incase their direct link is busy shedding. Please visit them if you want to, it's your constitutional right to click anywhere on this page or on your own computer.

Should you require (on a daily basis, if you have power and your internet connection is working on that day):

* Power Saving Search
* Energy Saving Homepage
* Google Powered Search Engine
* Eskom Load Balancing Schedule

Then click here and visit Beegle.co.za (link should open in a new window)

Now that we have done our bit on load shedding for the day, we'll continue with the rest of this BEEblog in a way that we still need to figure out. Oops, the lights just flickered a bit, hang on just need to go outside and check if the generator got some petrol in...

JACOB ZUMA ON AFRICA DIASPORA SKILLS LINKS

BEEP (Black Energy Efficient Page)

Jacob Zuma (FUTURE President of South Africa) outlines the keys to developing Africa by calling on a similar strategy that Jews have mastered; do-for-self. He calls on the African Diaspora and African governments to be more instrumental in supporting and funding projects which allow the tapping of inter-African skills and African Diaspora skills.

The film extract is from an upcoming documentary KWA MASHU: STILL MY HOME,directed by Owen 'Alik Shahadah, which has been made possible by a unique business partnership between Africa and The Diaspora (South African business K-CAP and UK business Halaqah Films). This project drew on skills from South Africa, UK and Ethiopia to produce this documentary. The African Holocaust Society would like to celebrate this partnership and thank the above companies for usage of this footage.
